Vintage Pillowcase Dress

Ever since I saw an adorable pillowcase dress on a sewing blog I wanted to make one. Earlier this summer my mom brought some of my grandmother's things to us kids. There were several embroidered pillowcases among the items. I finally turned one of them into a dress for Penelope. I love how it turned out. It was so easy. I'm just nervous to let Penelope wear it for any length of time since it came from my grandmother. Isn't it cute though?

*Don't forget I'm having the silent auction tomorrow to donate to Stephanie and Christian's recovery fund. (see previous post)

That is really cute! Yeah, I don't know if I'd let Lindsay wear something vintage nice like that. :)

That is beautiful, what a great idea for pillowcases.

That is the cutest dress. I'm gonna ask my mom if she thinks she would be able to make one like that. Did you have a pattern?
