An old family favorite. Don't know exactly where the recipe came from before my mom (probably her mom, and her mom,...) They sure are good, eating one right now, mmmmmm.
I've modified the recipe slightly. I use butter instead of shortening (same amount). This time I used raw cane sugar for half of the sugar and regular white sugar for the other half. (thanks for that trick Amy!) The raw sugar gives the cookies these yummy little crispy bits, mmmmm. Now I need some milk.
