For Penelope's birthday (on Dec. 3rd, I'm just slow posting this) we had some family and friends over for cake and ice cream. Penelope was most interested in her cake. I wanted to try a double layer cake. It turned out pretty good. It was chocolate cake with a peanut butter cream cheese frosting.
I decorated it with pink dots and smarties (which was Penelope's favorite part). It wasn't anything fancy or even time consuming, but it was fun to see how excited Penelope was about it. All afternoon she kept asking me to lift her up to see "Uppy's burtday cake".Nana sent her the annual Christmas dress, ultra girly of course. 80's prom dress style according to Eric. She also got some fun toys and books, thanks everyone!
And after the festivities, Penelope and her best friend, Ryan, cuddled on the couch watching the "truck show" (aka Cars)
